Proposals are now being accepted for the 2021 Virtual NYSSA Annual Conference. The conference theme is New Social Realities: Meaning-Making and the Transformation of Politics, Protest, & the Pandemic.

Call for Proposals
​
This year we especially welcome submissions building on the meeting's theme, including scholarship examining the implications of inequality and COVID-19 for the lived experience. Papers on all sociological topics are welcome. We also encourage the submission of undergraduate papers and/or seminar projects.
​
In addition to paper submissions, proposals will be accepted for Workshops, Panel Discussions, and Student Forums centered around topics of undergraduate and graduate student interest.

You should submit your proposals here after reviewing the submission guidelines. The proposal submission deadline is March 21, 2021 at 11:59pm.

Submission Guidelines:

Authors may submit multiple, unique proposals.

Papers must reflect the work of the author(s).

Those submitting work must plan to register for the meeting.

How to submit a proposal:
Submissions will be collected via Google Forms. Submitters should prepare the following information for their online submission.

Paper/Workshop Title
-
Abstract / Description (250 words or less)
-
Author and co-author names
-
Institutional affiliation and email address for the submitting author
Please submit separate forms for each paper, workshop, and/or forum you are proposing. All proposal submissions will receive an email confirmation. If you do not immediately receive your confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder. Contact jhoffman17@hilbert.edu if you do not receive an email confirmation of your submission within 24 hours.
You will receive notification about the acceptance status of your proposal in a timely manner.
